1. เลือกสำลีที่ทำจากใยฝ้ายธรรมชาติ แม้ว่าใยฝ้ายธรรมชาติจะมีราคาแพง แต่มั่นใจได้เลยว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ธรรมชาติจะไม่ทำร้ายผิวหน้าของคุณ เนื้อสำลีไม่เป็นขุยง่ายและมีความสามารถในการซึมซับน้ำได้ดี หากสัมผัสสำลีแล้ว รู้สึกว่าหน้าสำลีเรียบจนผิดธรรมชาติ หรือรู้สึกว่ามีอะไรเคลือบที่ผิวหน้าสำลี ให้หลีกเลี่ยง ไม่ควรใช้

1. Select cotton pads made from 100% organic cotton. Though you have to pay more, your facial skin won’t get dull. Well-absorbent cotton pads that won’t leave fibers on your face are recommended. If you feel that the cotton surface is too smooth or coated with something, try to avoid using it.

3. Make sure the cotton you use is free from chemical residues. You can test it by soaking the cotton in the water. Then, press the cotton with a spoon to squeeze the excessive water. Pour the excessive water into the test tube. For good quality cotton pads, the water will appear to be clear. If the water seems to be turbid, you shouldn’t use that cotton pad.

5. Good cotton should absorb water well. You can test it by dropping water on the cotton. If the water is not absorbed right away, you shouldn’t use that cotton. The cotton should disperse the liquid well, otherwise you’ll waste more toner or other skin care products.

6. Shape and size of the cotton should be proper for facial cleansing. In general, the cotton pad comes in 5x6 cm. Its edge shouldn’t leave anything on your face after use.

7. Select cotton for the right purposes. When you use cotton to wipe off your make-up or apply toner on your face, you should select facial cotton pad because its surface is appropriate for facial cleansing and the liquid could disperse really well.

8. The package should be clean and chemical-free. It’s recommended to use food grade packaging because the plastic used for packing food without residues should be strong.
